Far View Campsite

About Us

Peaceful farm site on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula
Less than a mile from Mullion Cove and eight miles from Helston
A 15-minute walk to pubs, a chocolate factory and the village shop
What makes the Lizard Peninsula tick? Some point to its location as the most south-westerly point in Britain. For others, it's the vibrant local rocks (dark green in colour, veined with white and red). Whatever brings you here, the spectacular sunsets, comely coves and rural vistas certainly don't hurt…

Located on the outskirts of Mullion, Far View is true to its name: the vistas are all about the greenery that stretches out for miles around. Fancy mixing up coast and country? With Mullion Cove under a mile away from base, this spot is handily placed for easy access to both.

Guests have five acres of Cornish meadow to spread out in, with essentials such as toilets and showers taken care of on site. Human visitors share Far View with a number of permanent guests, including goats, horses, donkeys and guanaco. Dogs are welcome, but please bear in mind the presence of furry live-in residents if you bring them along.

A 15-minute stroll takes guests up to Mullion village centre, which has two pubs, a couple of village shops, a fish and chip shop and (this being Kernow) a pasty shop. There's also a chocolate factory that can be reached within 10 minutes on foot: no oompa-loompas here, but there's plenty of scope to make friends with the in-house team of llamas.

A delightful place to camp, pitches were well spaced, owners were friendly and facilities were in good condition! If you’re looking for a site with a great view this is hard to beat. Animals kept on site were charming and really made the experience. Would advise visitors to consider how your tent will fare in high winds, as you are quite close to the sea and it can get a bit windy. Overall a really memorable stay, Mullion is picturesque and perfectly placed to explore Cornwall at it’s best.

Had a really enjoyable stay at Far View. The host Jane was really lovely & super helpful with suggestions and letting us know what to see in the local area and how to get there. I would also recommend the log fires when you stay aswell as a great way to end the evening on site. The site it’s self is a really decent size, when we stayed there was plenty of space and it had a fair few campers. The amenities were well taken care of – clean showers, toilets, fridges and freezers for people to share, also lockers to charge your mobile! The location is great, lots to see and do in walking distance around the campsite. The local village is in walking distance aswell, with pubs, a co-op and great fish and chip shop! Also it’s a great base for exploring further afield as Cornwall has many beaches and coves to discover! We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone travelling to this area!
